Growing a community of young people at Hope is key.
At Hope Students, we desire for teens to talk about life, learn about Christ, and have tons of fun!
Engage in Sunday Morning Worship
The family of Hope Church gathers together each Sunday to celebrate and make a big deal out of the God of the universe. We do this by listening to and applying the truth of God’s scripture and responding in corporate worship. The Spirit of God moves powerfully when the family of God gathers together.
Belong in a Group
Being in a group is a core part of the Disciplemaking Pathway for students. Our goal is for students to connect with each other in their respective evening groups and join in events hosted by Hope Students throughout the year.
We make Flash fun for all middle school students! Flash provide a safe place for teens to take one step closer to Jesus through worship, small group time with leaders and peer, and games.
What to expect at...
Flash
- Community with other middle schoolers.
Being a teenager can be hard. Flash aims to build a community of middle school students to be a support and an aide to others who need encouragement and a place to make friends.
- Truth preached in an easy-to-understand way.
We want our teens to hear true teaching from the Bible that resonates with and impacts them, encouraging them to grow closer to God through faith and closer to each other.
- Sing with a talented worship team.
We do not shy away from being extra in our praise. At Flash, students help play music and sing, leading the group in worship with modern, youth-filled songs.
- Get moving together with high-energy games.
Teens need to move... a lot! Playing games outside on the lawn or in the gym keeps competition lighthearted and exciting, while teaching sportsmanship and good fun.
No matter where your teens are in their faith journey, Flood provide an environment where high schoolers can flourish in their relationship with Jesus and others. Flood nights consist of worship, small group time with leaders and peers, and games.
What to expect at...
Flood
- Learn to love life with other high school students.
Peers are so important to the development of teens into adulthood, and having people at the same age to encourage and uplift each other is the core of what makes Flood so amazing.
- Hear gospel-centered teaching.
We want students to have fun, and it doesn't stop at the lessons. Keeping Christ at the center and continuing to point teens to Him is key. Large group seeks to share a core truth with all teens before they break off into small groups with adult leaders to help process how the lesson applies to their life.
- Worship in a modern, youthful style.
Hope Students wants worship to always be joy-filled, and with a talented group of students leading worship each week, it's always going to be a party of music and singing.
- Play games in the gym or outdoors.
There's a lot of energy at Flood, and the games never hold back! Whether it's dodgeball, 9 Square, or carpetball, competition reigns supreme with students.
Life as a disciple goes beyond youth group.
Invest in the Hope Family and Community
Students have been gifted by God to invest in the church and the broader ministry of Jesus. Investing helps them grow in their own faith as a disciple. There are many opportunities with the broader church as well as within Student Ministries.
Make Disciples Who Make Disciples
Disciples are called to make disciples as Jesus commanded. This can happen through building Gospel-centered relationship by bringing people to church events and groups, or by connecting in our schools, work, activities, and home.

Attend Retreats
There is something unique about retreating from our typical day and routine which allows us to focus on God and others in new ways. As part of bringing glory to God by making disciples, we desire to have everyone attend the following retreats: Winter WipeOut at Camp Shamineau and Summer Camping Trips. Lives are changed, relationships strengthened, and glory given to God.
