Jesus has a plan for your child to take steps towards Him.
At Hope Church, we want to help kids learn to hear God’s voice and respond in obedience.
Model Gathering Alongside the Church Family
The family of Hope Church gathers together each Sunday to celebrate and make a big deal out of the God of the universe. We do this by listening to and applying the truth of God’s Scripture and responding in corporate worship. The Spirit of God moves powerfully when the family of God gathers together.
Belong in Groups
Kids learn about Jesus best when they group together in both large and small groups. Large groups provide a place for kids to hear the truth about Jesus through Scripture and a place to help them learn how Jesus and Scripture matters in their life. Small Groups are a safe place for kids to practice faith and learn a proper view of identity, worship, community, and mission.
Through our leadership in the nursery, we provide a safe and fun environment for infants and toddlers so you can breathe easy during our service, knowing they are cared for and loved by our volunteers.
How to check your kids in and out for…
Nursery
(no precheck-in)
- Head toward the nursery welcome desk before the service begins.
The Nursery is located on the west side of the building, between the gym and coffee bar on the main floor.
- Check in with your phone number.
Used only for emergency contact purposes. A nursery attendant will be available
- Print out the child’s nametag and drop them off in their room.
Place the printed sticker on the child’s back.
- Return after service with your child's unique pickup ID sticker.
Show your child's ID sticker to the nursery attendant to pick up your child.
Kids grow closer to Jesus in large group time where they hear the Big God Story. In small groups, kids discuss the story, do activities, and grow closer to God and each other.
How to check your kids in and out for… Sunday groups
- Head toward the appropriate age classroom downstairs before the service begins.
Down the stairs to the Hope Kids wing, there are classrooms for each age group.
- Check in with the leader.
The leader will greet you at the door. If you have not registered your child, they will hand you a card to fill out.
- Pin your child’s nametag (3s, 4s, and Kindergarten only).
Make a nametag from the templates next to the door with their name on it.
- Return after service to the classroom to pick them up.
After large group time, the kids return to the classroom to be picked up after the service is over.
As we seek to partner with parents, Family Nights are a place for you to group together to lead your kids spiritually. Each Family Night includes a large group time, a small group time where families can lead their kids together or on their own, snack time, and open gym to play together.
What to expect at… Family Nights
- Our purpose is to partner with families as they lead their kids spiritually in an environment where we get to do it together.
We want to include families on the fun, and with Family Nights, we can help foster an environment where parents and kids can learn and have fun together with Christ at the center.
- Start with large group time for worship and a lesson
Watch and participate in the lesson with everyone, letting Biblical truth come out through teaching, songs, and games.
- Break off into small groups to reflect
Team up with another family or make it just you and your children. Follow the lesson plan provided for each family to reflect on the theme of the night.
- Enjoy rambunctious fun and snacks to finish off
Get the kids' some energy with delicious snacks, and get their energy out with some gym games!
Let’s team up for more fun!
Partner with Parents
The primary strategy of kids ministry at Hope Church is to partner with parents, the primary influencers of kids’ faith. We do this by coming alongside you as you parent and encouraging you to have spiritual conversations with your kids.
Celebrate with Friends
Kids love to play and they learn and grow through partying together. Party events provide a place for kids to practice sharing Jesus with friends inside and outside the church. Parties are a place to grow deeper in relationships with each other, parents, leaders, and God.

Our Hope Kids Team
Our staff team has years of experience working with kids and volunteers. Together they encourage the next generation to live for Christ in a fun and safe environment. Our volunteers are trained with MinistrySafe and are trained to lead our kids in wisdom and truth.
I have a Master's in Children's and Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary and a degree in Elementary Education from UNW. I create and lead groups and events with my husband Carl. We have three adult daughters and two sons-in-law, and I enjoy lifting weights, running, hiking, and reading.
